Rockfall Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon red wine is one of our most dramatic vineyard locations, situated above the fog-line at 2,200 feet elevation. Mountaintop sun exposure imparts textural depth and richness to the wines, and a uniquely complex formation of bedrock under the vineyard contributes to the wine's distinctive minerality. Planted vertically up the steep slope with a 30% grade and positioned to face south, we refer to this block as the 'solar panel' for the abundant sunshine it receives. This red wine exhibits aromas of dark fruit and chocolate, with hints of mulling spices and peppercorn. The savory palate has hints of blueberry and tobacco, balanced by a structured tannin profile. Pair with grilled dry aged ribeye with mushrooms, lamb, and braised beef short ribs This bottled California cabernet sauvignon is 14.5% alcohol by volume.
