Serge Laloue Sancerre Marie Du Lac

Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Notes: Grapefruit, Green Apple, Minerals, Melon
Franck and Christine Laloue own an amazing estate in the village of Thauvenay within the Sancerre AOP.
The Marie Du Lac Sancerre is sourced from various local growers. This blend reflects the characteristics of two of Sancerre’s precious lieux-dits: “Longues Fins” in Chavignol and “Garennes” in Sancerre. The wine is made from 43-year-old vines grown in limestone-rich clay and is vinified in stainless steel for 6 months.
It is light plus-bodied, balanced, textured, and clean with crisp acidity and good depth. The palate features grapefruit, minerals, lime, green apple, pear, melon, and toasted almond with flinty hints. Serve with a lightly grilled branzino.
