Description:
Roth Estate is committed to crafting full-flavored wines grown in the best Sonoma County vineyard sites. Beginning in 2001, Roth started producing Cabernet Sauvignon blends from hillside locations in the famed Alexander Valley.
A decade later the winery expanded to include a variety of wines, including Merlot from its home Alexander Valley.
Roth Estate Merlot is a blend of 80% Merlot, 14% Syrah, 6% Malbec. The grapes are harvested from September to October for optimum maturity. Fermented in 100% stainless
steel tanks with regular pump-overs. Once fermentation was complete, the wine is aged
in French, American and Hungarian oak (30% new) for 16 months.
Notes: Dry, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry, spice, and chocolate.
Pairings: Veal chops, grilled eggplants, mushroom risotto
